l gear pump Trouble and Maintenance The mainly troubleshooting and failure about pump presents in Table 2-1. Table 2-1 Troubleshooting Serial No. Failure Failure reasons Solutions 1 No delivery or inefficient discharge Exterior elements: Motor stick; motor reversal; Sliding V belt; no oil in tank; pipe jammed; Check motor and its wiring; tighten V belt; inspect tank; dredge pipeline. Gear being stuck Clean waste in pump chamber Waste in outlet of overflow valve Disconnect overflow valve lid and clean waste; Leaka fuel dispenser ge on valve Check oil groove Overweary gear or bearing Replace gears or bearing 2 Large noise or tremble Exterior reasons: Too long horizontal distance between fuel dispenser and tank; many elbow on inlet pipe; waste jam pipe; small diameter of pipe Dealt with in design and construction Intensive pressure Decrease thickness of pressured ring Overflow valve is stuck Clean waste and burr Overweary gear or bearing Replace gears or bearing 3 Inner leakage Overweary gears Replace gears Leakage on frame seal Frame seal disabled Replace frame seal Leakage on pump body or joint face O-ring disabled Substitute seal ring 2.5 Important notices in operation Often inspect the rotation of pump axis, leakage, abnormal noise, vibration on V wheel and lose bolt that tight pump key. Regularly clean strainer. The tightness of V wheel should be appropriate, neither too tight nor too loose. These V wheels of motor, pump and adjusting driven wheel should be in parallel level. Don’t adjusting overflow valve spring too tights in case that result in high pressure of hydraulic system, increase fuel dispenser noise and vibration so as to enhance pump abrasion. Prohibit suck water or oil with much water. Strictly abide by the operation requirements on explosive atmosphere. Submersible pump In China filing stations recently begin to adopt submersible pump as the power resource of fuel dispenser. Submersible pump gen fuel dispenser

In 1989 Dr Fodor had just been hired by the Affymax Research Institute in Palo Alto, California, a start- up that was developing new tools for drug discovery. There, he and his colleagues devised a scheme to marry photolithography, a technology used in semiconductor fabrication, to combinatorial chemistry. In 1991 they published a paper that made the cover of the journal Science, describing how photolithography could be used to direct light to activate the synthesis of biological compounds. In a series of steps, photo masks either illuminate or preve fuel dispenser nt light from reaching different regions on a wafer coated with light-sensitive chemicals. At each step along the way, the surface of the wafer is flooded with a set of biological building blocks for either protein or DNA. A special coupling reaction ensures that these building blocks only stick in the areas exposed to light. As this process is repeated, thousands of distinct biological compounds can be built up in parallel in discrete areas of the wafer, in a variation of the process used to etch transistors onto a silicon chip. Although the Science paper focused on the synthesis of short molecules called peptides, Dr Fodor s plan was to build high-density arrays that would lend themselves to DNA analysis. Around the same time, Patrick Brown, a professor of biochemistry at Stanford With the help of a University School of Medicine, became interested in developing new techniques microarray, for mapping genes. He recruited Dari Shalon, an engineering student, to hel fuel dispenser p researchers can him devise a simple, low-cost way to print thousands of long gene fragments query the whole onto a simple glass microscope slide. fuel dispenser
